Karen Bettencourt‘s collages speak to ‘Other Times’. In particular, she portrays the life of one fictitious woman from birth
through death. Born in Paris in 1890, Josephine Dubreuil, lived in France, England and Boston Massachusetts. She
married twice, was an author and had one daughter named Sophie. The 11 works in the show cover the whole of her life.
Photographs and ephemera from the past have been used to illustrate this unique life.
